Outpatient Rehabilitation

Outpatient Rehabilitation

From diagnosis to treatment, we understand that the process can be long, challenging and emotional for both the patients and their families. During your child’s recovery process, outpatient rehabilitation will be a key component of their journey. We offer a wide range of services to support pediatric patients with physical, development and behavioral/emotional challenges.

At HealthBridge Children’s Hospital, we are growing our outpatient rehabilitation capabilities. Currently, we offer the full range of rehabilitation services at our hospital campus in Orange California, where our Children’s Hospital patients can come after they’ve been discharged to home. In addition, we have an outpatient rehabilitation facility in Costa Mesa, California, for patients of all ages.

The HealthBridge Point-of-Difference

Implementing the right rehabilitation program — one that the patient responds well to is key to recovery and long-term success. At HealthBridge, our outpatient services include: physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, developmental feeding therapy, respiratory therapy and behavioral therapy.

Our expert rehabilitation team will develop an individualized rehabilitation treatment plan to serve your child’s unique needs. Our creative methods and individualized approach will motivate and encourage your child. The end result is measurable improvement to goal and sustainable outcomes.

We serve patients in need of help in the following:

  • Apraxia
  • Articulation
  • Auditory processing
  • Fluency
  • Oral/motor skills
  • Play skills
  • Speech and language issues
  • Social skills

Rehabilitation Through Play

We recognize the unique difficulties associated with all types of rehabilitation for pediatric rehabilitation. That’s why we incorporate play into the rehab process for children where it’s appropriate. An individualized care plan will be developed for each patient and includes an initial assessment, tools and goals for their recovery program. Our program focus extends to the family as well. Because family is the main support and care team, we involve them and encourage their participation whenever possible.

Rehabilitation Through Motivation

Motivation plays a crucial role in successfully meeting the goals outlined in the individual care plans. In helping each patient navigate the rehabilitation process, we are committed to providing the right therapy team that the patient responds to well. We know from our over 40 years of providing outpatient pediatric therapy that motivation is essential, which is why we encourage the family to take a key role in this process.
