Dr. Alison Curfman

Alison Curfman, MD, MBA,  joined HealthBridge Kids as an advisor in July 2024.  In this role, Dr. Curfman will use her expertise in clinical and business model design to  strategically help shape and launch forward-thinking ideas to help solve many of the challenges in the post acute pedatric  space.

As co-founder of Imagine Pediatrics, Alison incepted and realized an innovative value-based 24/7 virtual-first pediatric care organization.  Imagine Pediatrics provides virtual-first care in the home for children with complex medical conditions and special health care needs.  She continues to guide Imagine Pediatrics today, serving as an advisor to the executive team and chair of the clinical advisory board.

Previously, at Mercy Health, she established the nation’s first virtual pediatric hospital  and led the integration of virtual and in-person care for patients across five states. Mercy is one of the largest U.S. health systems with 44 acute care and specialty hospitals, as well as over 700 physician and outpatient clinics.

Published in top medical journals a such as Pediatrics, Alison is also the co-founder of SPROUT, an American Academy of Pediatrics- (AAP) affiliated pediatric research network supporting large-scale virtual care research.

Dr. Curfman completed her training in pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Washington University in St. Louis.  She earned her MD from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Clare.  She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Missouri.
